I have over eight years of experience working professionally as a UX and Visual Designer. During this time I have honed the ability to express my creative visions, as well as refine and realize client concepts. I have also become adept at helping others recognize their strengths and how best to fit their skills into the overall picture.
I’ve always found that my passion for illustration has informed my work as a creative designer, and often the other way around as well. I envision them not as separate disciplines, but complementary tools to be used in concert.
I believe that the essential beginning of any project should be putting a pencil to paper. Whether it be a quick sketch in a field journal or the roughest of initial wireframes, it’s essential to begin any visual conversation with visual language.
This initial step is truly the best way to minimize the margin of error and miscommunication later on in the process.
When I’m not working, I spend most of my free time running, reading sci-fi, drawing inspiration from other visual artists and hanging with my family in Burlington VT.
